Nathalia Delgado Nachtigall

She lived in the USA  until  she returned to her country as a teenager, which exposed her mind to different realities and cultures. Nathalia studied Communications and Film. Worked 8 years as a Creative Director in J. Walter Thompson and obtained several awards, including the New York Festival, the Gran Prix, Fiptour, Brazil and Festival de Gramados, Spain.

She has traveled extensively on her own, writing and photographing both for commissions and personal projects. Nathalia's journey has taken her to more than 60 countries around the world. Including South and Central America, most of the Caribean, all Western Europe, India, Nepal, Turkey, Morroco, Hong Kong Japan, Russia, Scandinavia, Polynesia, Maldives, Cambodia and Vietnam. 

As a result of her great interest in different cultures and her country's amazing heritage. Nathalia created Odisea Terra, producers of "Rostros del Perú" and directed 4 documentaries:
Between Dances and Gods, Booraas Magical World, Into the Amazon and The Sons of Lake Titicaca., sold throughout Europe and recognized in several film festivals.

Nathalia is actively involved in several projects to make a difference in her community and the world.
She created H.A.M.B.R.E in Lima, Perú, a non profit organization inspired on a critical understanding that an impressive amount of edible food is thrown away daily, meanwhile, a number of people struggle to get a-plate of food.

She is a children's author, her book Islands of Adventure published by Planeta is an eco friendly story that creates awareness in kids.

Nathalia is invited by schools and organizations  to inspire in children respect for nature and their environment.

Nathalia now lives with her family in USA after 14 years living in the Bahamas.

She is a filmmaker with a journalist mind and the spirit of a restless traveler.

Born in Lima, Perú. Nathalia lived her childhood in Puerto Rico and California and developed an early fascination for water. After studying Communications and Film in Lima and NY,she directed documentaries in the Amazon and Lake titicaca in Peru

- and after living in the Bahamas 14 years this fascination of water became the driving force behind her artistic journey.

Through her work, Nathalia explores the ever-changing nature of water, its constant motion and its profound impact on human emotions and the environment. The energy surrounding the water delving into its symbolic, metaphorical, and transformative qualities. Her installations often incorporate elements of movement, sound, and light, inviting viewers to engage with the artwork on multiple sensory levels.

Nathalia Delgado Nachtigall invites viewers to reflect on their own connection to water and the profound impact it has on our lives. Her work serves as a portal for reimagining the associations of water as a sacred element at a time when crises relating to water and access are a contemporary reality.

Nathalia utilizes photography to capture the essence of water and its various states. These photographs are often displayed alongside other elements in her installations, adding a visual narrative to her work.
Nathalia incorporates video projections as a way to bring movement and dynamics. And integrates soundscapes and audio elements, creating an immersive auditory experience. These sound elements can range from soothing water sounds to more abstract and experimental compositions.

With her distinct style and unwavering passion, Nathalia Delgado Nachtigall continues to make a mark in the creative world. Her work has garnered recognition and praise from both the art community and the general public, solidifying her position as a rising star in the contemporary art scene.
